Why I'm building kaelo
By Vinay Joshi
I finished my undergraduate degree a few months ago. Back home, my family uses technology and social media far more than before. My parents, especially my father, call me any time, even when I am working or sleeping, to fix things like where to turn off auto-pay or how to log in to a platform. Each fix takes 30 seconds to a minute, but I have to drop everything. Friends have the same problem, and children can rarely do anything about it, so it gets ignored. That is why I am building this.
Our 3 Uncompromising Principles
We guide, we never tap for you
You stay in full control. The app highlights the next step with a spotlight ring and clear words, but you tap your own screen and enter your own PINs.
Your screen stays yours
We look only while you ask for help. The moment your problem is solved or you hit stop, looking stops immediately. Bank screens, UPI PINs, and passwords are never captured.
Plain language, always
No confusing tech jargon, no error codes. Calm, patient instructions in your language so everyone in the family can feel confident.

We read every single message and frequently chat with families on WhatsApp or over a quick 20-minute call.
