Question 1

Is kaelo available to download right now?

Accepted Answer

No. The app is launching soon. We are running this private waitlist to learn what problems real families encounter before rolling out private Android beta invites in waves.

Question 2

What happens after I join the waitlist?

Accepted Answer

You immediately secure your position in the founding queue. If you provided an email, you will receive a verification link to confirm your spot. Once confirmed, you receive a personal status dashboard and unique referral link. Selected participants will receive early demo invites.

Question 3

Who is behind kaelo?

Accepted Answer

kaelo is operated by Vinay Joshi. He completed his undergraduate degree recently and began building this after seeing how often his own parents called him for routine phone troubleshooting that could be solved with a simple spotlight.

Question 4

Can kaelo tap or control my phone for me?

Accepted Answer

No. The core philosophy is "We guide, we never tap for you." kaelo places an amber spotlight over your screen and gives one short, patient instruction at a time. Your own hands always make every tap.

Question 5

When does kaelo see my screen?

Accepted Answer

Only while you explicitly ask for help during an active session. Looking begins only when you tap Help, and stops the exact instant your problem is solved or you hit Stop.

Question 6

Will you keep my converted files or screen frames?

Accepted Answer

No. Screen frames are analyzed in real-time memory and immediately discarded. Quick Task files (such as PDF to Word conversions) are permanently deleted after delivery or after the configured retention period.

Question 7

What happens on banking, UPI, or password screens?

Accepted Answer

Sensitive screens are strictly bypassed. Android system password fields and maintained lists of banking and UPI apps are excluded from capture. We never ask for or view your UPI PINs or passwords.

Question 8

What is the lifetime price lock?

Accepted Answer

The first 500 founding members get 40% off their first 12 months. After 12 months, your subscription stays permanently frozen at the original launch price—even as public prices rise in the future.

Question 9

Do I have to pay anything right now to join?

Accepted Answer

No. There is zero payment now and no obligation to buy when the app launches. Joining simply locks in your founding tier discount code.

Question 10

Are the displayed prices final?

Accepted Answer

All listed prices are planned and subject to change before public release. However, founding prices will always remain significantly lower than public launch rates.

Question 11

Does kaelo work on iPhone?

Accepted Answer

kaelo is Android-first. Apple iOS restricts live overlays across third-party apps, so iPhone will have a planned separate experience: screenshot-based explanation plus instant file tasks. You can join the iPhone waitlist.

Question 12

Which Android versions and brands will be supported?

Accepted Answer

We are engineering kaelo to support mainstream Android versions across Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, Oppo, and Motorola phones common in Indian households.

Question 13

How does the referral system work?

Accepted Answer

Each friend who joins via your personal link and confirms their signup moves you up 50 spots in the beta queue. If you confirm 3 friends, you unlock an extra 10% discount (bringing your total discount to 50%).

Question 14

Does an unconfirmed signup count towards my referral rewards?

Accepted Answer

No. To keep the waitlist honest, a referral counts only after your referred friend clicks their confirmation link or verifies their contact details.

Question 15

How are beta invite waves decided?

Accepted Answer

Wave 1 of our private Android beta will be invited directly: the first 100 confirmed members plus the top referrers in the queue. Subsequent waves will follow in batches.
