- • No data sale: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- • What we collect now: Just your name, email, and/or WhatsApp number to invite you to the private beta and ask optional questions about what you get stuck on.
- • Planned screen privacy: When the app launches, screen guidance will only run when you tap Help. Looking stops immediately when your issue is solved. Banking and password screens are strictly bypassed.
- • Right to erasure: You can unsubscribe or request immediate deletion of your data at any time via /unsubscribe or by emailing hello@kaelo.in.
1. Operator Identity
This website and pre-launch waitlist are operated by kaeloAI (kaelo), operated by Vinay Joshi ("kaelo", "we", "our"). You may reach the operator directly at hello@kaelo.in.
2. What Information We Collect
When you interact with our waitlist, we collect:
- Contact Details: First name, email address, and/or WhatsApp phone number. (At least one contact method is required to reserve your spot).
- Optional Research Feedback: Who you would use the app for (myself, parent/relative, both), phone type (Android, iPhone), topics you get stuck on, preferred language, optional city, willingness-to-pay band, and whether you are open to a 20-minute chat.
- Technical Attribution: Referring URL, UTM campaign parameters, first-party cookie-light headline variant, and anonymized referral codes to assign your queue position. We do not store raw IP addresses; rate limiting uses salted cryptographic hashes.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Processing
We process this information based on your explicit consent provided when checking the consent box. The data is used solely to:
- Manage your founding member spot and calculate your beta wave queue position.
- Send double opt-in confirmation emails and private beta launch notifications.
- Conduct optional user research calls to understand product requirements before writing app code.
4. Planned Screen & File Processing in the Coming App
While the mobile app is not yet available, we design with privacy-by-architecture:
- Active Sessions Only: Screen guidance runs exclusively during an active session after you press Help. It automatically terminates when the task is resolved or when you hit Stop.
- Sensitive Screens Bypassed: System password fields, OTP dialogs, and maintained lists of banking and UPI apps are excluded. Banking screens and PINs are never captured.
- Ephemeral Processing: Screen frames are processed in live memory to compute spotlight coordinates and immediately discarded without persistent storage.
- File Deletion: Documents uploaded for Quick Tasks (e.g. PDF to Word conversions) are permanently deleted after delivery.
5. Third-Party Service Processors
We rely on carefully selected infrastructure partners who act as data processors:
- Database: Supabase (hosted in Mumbai, India region).
- Transactional Email: Resend (for double opt-in verification and queue notifications).
- Hosting & CDN: Netlify (global CDN).
- Web Analytics: Umami Cloud (cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics; does not track individual identities across the web).
6. India DPDP Act Compliance & Your Rights
In accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Withdraw your consent at any time without penalty.
- Request immediate correction or complete erasure of your personal data.
- Lodge a grievance directly with our operator at hello@kaelo.in.
7. Age Eligibility (18+ Only)
This website and pre-launch waitlist are exclusively intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
